Quantum Ensemble 2019/2020

Quantum Ensemble, group in residence in the Tenerife Auditorium, of which Cristo Barrios is a founding member, will begin its seventh season. Guest artists: Alexander Sitkovetsky, Richard Lester, Elias String Quartet, Fauré Quartett, Romain Guyot, Lendvai String Trio, Rolf Hind and Tristan Hambleton.

Rautavaara’s Clarinet Concerto Spanish national premiere

Recently, Cristo Barrios performed Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Clarinet Concerto with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. It was the Spanish national premiere, that he shared with conductor Elim Chan.

“Deep Light” (Ibs Classical), the CD that Cristo Barrios recently published with pianist Andrew West, has just been distinguished by the Digital Melómano magazine as “Melómano GOLD”.

New CD, with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra

Cristo Barrios participated in a recording project of the composer Gustavo Díaz-Jerez’s symphonic work, with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and conducted by Eduardo Portal.

Clarinet class in Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid)

Vicente Alberola (principal clarinet of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra), Cristo Barrios (soloist), Eduardo Raimundo Beltrán (bass clarinet of the Spanish National Orchestra) and Carlos Casadó (Eb clarinet of the Spanish National Orchestra), make up the clarinet class at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid).
